Wednesday Wisdom - Hard Work
I am not entirely sure where this quote came from but it is a thought that we are constantly sharing with our players and teams. In fact, with my Under 10s, we are continually saying to our players that in matches, every player must work harder and be more aggressive than their opponents. If they are able to do this, then their skill and understanding of the game will dominate. Until they are able and willing to make that level of commitment, then any team can beat them. Just working hard is not always enough. Against real competition you must be willing to go beyond “just working hard” because we will all get to the point where doing our best is not good enough – we must be willing to do what is necessary to be successful.
