Far Post offers optional fall programming for it's players age 4-14. Many players will be busy with their school soccer seasons--which we are proponents of--while others have less intense schedules and are looking for more.
Anyone may sign up for fall training, but games are only open to Far Post Players. Both Fall training and games are an extra expense for Far Post players.
Players may sign up for training, games, or both and spots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Please see a breakdown of each program and dates below.
We offer a 7 week training program starting the first week of September that focuses on building a strong technical foundation and in-game tactical training. We urge our players to be bold and expressive, using skill and intuition to solve the problems that the game presents.
Club Director Todd Kingsbury will run all training sessions at Dorset Park in South Burlington.
Far Post will enter a U10, U11, and U12 team in the Fall Vermont Soccer League on both the boys and girls sides. It is a 7 week season, with games are on Sundays at the Tree Farm in Essex Jct.
This is only available for Far Post players that are registered with the club for the full 2018/19 season.
At the U13 and 14 age groups, we have found that the competition is not strong enough for our teams and players and will be forming our own league in house. We will create 4 coed teams that will play each other twice each. We will then have our teams play friendly matches against other local clubs for two of the weeks according to proper age/gender. We feel that this model best serves our players and we are looking forwad to launching this fall. New this fall! There will be a U13/14 Division in the Bailey Memorial Tournament in Stowe on Sunday, Sept. 23. This is a 1 day event and will be 8v8 format.
